Redemption

Redemption plays a pretty big role in the Kite Runner, because most of the characters in this story have some mistakes. I think Amir is the main person. Most the decisions he made when he was younger affected him his whole life, Affected his family. Hassan and his family a lot. The way Amir lied on Hassan about things that weren't true and Hassan always stood up for him no matter what. Also how he saw the accident happen in the hallway and didn't do anything about it, all of these decisions he made affected Hassan his whole life. During his whole child years he was childish and selfish and only wanted Baba's attention, but as grew up and matured he became wiser and caring for others and more respectful.

The Kite Runner Free Will

" A boy who wont stand up for himself becomes a man who cant stand up to anything". This relates to free will because Amir does not stand up for himself in the beginning of the book. He makes Hassan help him and make him his body guard and protect him from any harm.
" There is a way to be good again". This represents free will because Amir finally has a chance to be his old self. He wanted to be good not go back to what he did in the past.
“I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of 1975. I remember the precise moment, crouching behind a crumbling mud wall, peeking into the alley near the frozen creek. That was a long time ago, but it’s wrong what they say about the past, I’ve learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out. Looking back now, I realize I have been peeking into that deserted alley for the last twenty-six years.”  Amir watched and see his best friend get hurt that was his choice. He could have stopped it if he wanted to, but he didn't want to he was scared and was against it.
“He knew I'd seen everything in that alley, that I'd stood there and done nothing. He knew that I'd betrayed him and yet he was rescuing me once again, maybe for the last time. ”  Hassan knew Amir was watching him, but still chose to ignore the fact that Amir didn't rescue him. In the end he decides to save Amir one last time from trouble like a loyal and true friend.

The Kite Runner Fate

"That was a long time ago, but its wrong what they say about the past, I've learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out. Looking back now, i realize i have been peeking into that desert alley for the last twenty-six years." - This quote relates to fate because Amir is saying how even though he tries to forget about the past he cant and it comes back and in its way out like hes suppose to remember it.
"A boy who wont stand up for himself becomes a man who wont stand up to anything." - This quote relates to fate because Amir at the end of the story finally stands up for himself and for Hassan's son which he used to doubt his father and call him a coward.

"I actually aspired to cowardice, because the alternative, the real reason i was running, was that Assef was right: nothing was free in this world." - This quote relates too fate because Amir is accepting the fact that he was a coward, that Assef was right, and what he did with his past was wrong including to Hassan and all he had been doing was running away from the truth and being scared. .

"My body was broken-just how badly i wouldn't find out until later- but felt healed. Healed at last. I laughed" - This quote relates to fate because Amir is getting nearly killed by Assef and is feeling what he should have felt 20 years ago.
